FAQ
The questions clients ask most, in one place. If your question isn't here, message us in your channel.
Accounts and platforms
Is one account TikTok and Instagram, or just one platform?
One Doublespeed account runs one social profile on one platform: TikTok or Instagram, not both. If you want a brand present on both platforms, buy one account per platform and run them as a pair.
Can I post the same content to TikTok and Instagram?
Yes. Upload once and select accounts on both platforms when you schedule. Keep in mind that sounds are platform-specific: a TikTok sound can't be used on an Instagram post and vice versa.
Can I change an account from Instagram to TikTok later?
Platform is set when the account is created. If you set up the wrong platform, message us in your channel and we'll sort it out.
Warming
My accounts say Warming but I can't find them on TikTok. Is something wrong?
No. During warming, accounts run with placeholder usernames and may not be searchable. This protects your real username: if an account gets flagged during warming, your name isn't burned with it. Your configured username, bio, and profile photo are applied as warming completes.
How long does warming take, and what is it actually doing?
Warming takes about 7 days. The device behaves like a normal new user: scrolling, searching your niche terms, liking, and following. This builds the natural activity history accounts need before posting.
Can I queue posts while accounts are still warming?
Yes. Queue content any time; posts are automatically scheduled for the day after warming completes.
I finished setup but accounts still say Setup Required. What now?
Check that every field is filled for every account: username, bio, profile photo, and search terms. Profile photos need to meet the size requirement (500x500). If everything is complete and the status hasn't changed after a few hours, message us in your channel; occasionally an account needs a manual nudge on our side.
What do the account statuses mean?
- Pending: account is being provisioned to a device.
- Setup Required: we need your profile details (username, bio, photo, search terms) before warming can start.
- Warming: building activity history. About 7 days.
- Active / Ready: warmed and posting.
- Burned: flagged by the platform. Message us; flagged accounts get replaced.
Posting and the queue
How many posts go out per day?
Default pacing is up to 2 posts per account per day. Instagram accounts are paced more conservatively (typically 1 per day) because Instagram rate-limits harder. If you queue more than the daily cap, the extra posts roll to the next day automatically.
When exactly do posts go out?
Posts publish inside per-account posting windows (Pacific time), randomized within the window so accounts don't post in lockstep. Accounts posting twice a day get a morning and an evening slot by default. The earliest a new post goes out is the next calendar day.
Can I pick the exact time a post goes out?
Not currently. You choose the day; the system picks a randomized time inside the account's posting windows. Randomized timing is deliberate: accounts that post at identical times look automated to the platform.
How do I remove something from the queue?
Open the Posts tab, find the queued post, and remove it. Removing from the queue doesn't delete your uploaded media.
Music and sounds
How do I put a specific sound on my posts?
Add the sound's link to a music collection, then attach the collection when creating posts. Use links to sounds on the platform itself: a TikTok sound link for TikTok posts, Instagram audio for Instagram. YouTube or other music site links won't work, and sounds don't transfer between platforms.
Can I keep the original video audio and add music on top?
Yes, you can keep original audio with background music at reduced volume. Set this where you attach music when creating the post.
Profile changes
How do I change a bio, profile photo, or username?
Accounts tab, open the account, edit the field, save. Changes are applied by the device.
Why didn't my username change apply?
TikTok limits how often usernames can change (once per 30 days). If the account was created recently or renamed recently, the platform blocks the change for a while. Avoid changing many profile fields at once; bursts of profile edits look bot-like and can suppress reach.
Can I add a link in bio?
Yes, set it in the account's profile settings. Prefer link in bio over links in captions; caption links are a common cause of suppressed reach.
Low views and account health
How do I know if an account is shadowbanned?
Signs: views drop to near zero across several posts while similar content performs normally on your other accounts. Single low-performing posts are normal variance; a sustained floor across posts is the signal.
What causes it?
The most common triggers we see: links in captions, advertising language in captions, changing many profile fields at once, and abrupt content category switches. Search-term quality also matters; spammy terms attract spam followers, which hurts the account.
What do you do about flagged accounts?
Message us in your channel. Flagged or burned accounts get replaced and the replacement re-warms.
Search terms
What makes good search terms?
Use at least 5 terms, phrased the way your target viewer actually searches, all inside your niche. Think "what would my customer type into TikTok search," not a description of your product. Different accounts can target different niches with different term sets.
Ownership and access
Who owns the accounts?
Accounts you've run for 3 months are eligible for transfer to you. Ask in your channel.
Can I get the login credentials?
Yes, on request. Note that logging in from your own devices can trip platform security and put accounts at risk, so we hand over credentials with that caveat.
Can I run Spark Ads or partnership ads on these accounts?
Yes. Spark codes (TikTok) and partnership codes (Instagram) are available on request for specific posts.
